Stylish Academic ItemsA selection of essential items make up a stylish wardrobe. Have you ever been in the situation where you have a wardrobe full of clothes but nothing to wear to an outing? That’s right, me too. It is because the semi-wrong items occupy the front row in our closets.

As academic researchers, comfort and class are key. We want to command a presence when we enter the classroom, conference hall, or workshop space; but, we don’t have the luxury of time to try on outfits and dump them in a heap.  This leaves us reaching for that one comfy tweed jacket, time and time again.

HuffPo Style did a 20 Must-have items for college girls, so here is the academic researchers’ style list. It is only 10 items.

1) Classic white shirt

The white shirt is a given. It goes with any bottom on the planet. It is also easy to style up or dress down. Tuck a white shirt into a pencil skirt or a pair of denim pants, and you are good to go.
